Lusaka Securities Exchange – LuSE listed Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (ISIN: ZM0000000250) announced the appointment of Mukwandi Chibesakunda as Chief Executive Officer effective 01 November 2020 succeeding Henk Mulder who has leaped the indigenous bank to retain its market share as one of Zambia’s top 5 banks in a financial sector with 18 commercial banks. She has also served in Executive capacities at Stanbic Bank Zambia as Head of Personal and Business Banking and at Standard Chartered Bank Plc as Executive Director Consumer Banking. The genesis of her banking career was at Bank of Zambia where she served as Inspector in charge of 14 banks under liquidation.

Ms. Chibesakunda is an economist from University of Zambia who also holds a Master of Business Administration and a postgraduate diploma in Business Administration from Manchester University.
